Electroneum Working to let Millions of Nigerians Top-up Electricity with ETN
The founder and CEO of Electroneum (ETN), Richard Ellis, has listed some of the major achievements of the blockchain network in the last few months, stating that Electroneum is working hard to ensure that people have easy access to finance especially in the developing countries. The CEO made the proclamation during an interview session with BlockTV.
Richard said Electroneum is working to get other utility top-up live in 2020. He said the Nigerian electricity top-up is a key area being focused on to let people have their light running, making it a larger purchase value than airtime top-up alone.
Richard said the company’s officials are already reaching out to a number of global utility companies to introduce them to the new digital means of toping-up utility bills.
As regards Electroneum alliance with the Cambodian Cellcard telecoms company, Richard said Electroneum’s relationship with this company is different from that of others in other countries.
The CEO said Electroneum has a direct relationship with Cellcard, and unlike other telecom companies where the relationship is a third-party relationship, and more of this is underway.
When asked about the somewhat stagnation in the volume metric trade of Electroneum, CEO Richard said Electroneum would never get involved in any form of market manipulation or wash trade unlike most of the top 100 coins.
Richard said Electroneum is regulated and would not get involved in any shady business. Founder Rihcard said by the end of 2020, every crypto business in the UK has to be FCI regulated, thus Electroneum would be FCI regulated going into 2021.
Richard said Electroneum has never manipulated the price of its token and it has no plan to do so in the future.
While addressing the AnyTask freelance platform launched by Electroneum, said the platform charges sellers 0% for transaction unlike Fiver, and a couple of 100 sales has been achieved on the platform within 2 months.
